  • Amber color. Ambers additionally with age.
  • Not designed for self-seal.
  • Limited durability.
  • Ideal for interior wood fixtures including molding, door frames, millwork and new construction – particularly where a very low cost finish is desired. 
  • Typically used by professional contractors.

LUSTER LACTM Premium Lacquer Systems
  • Fast drying.
  • Economical.
  • Very user-friendly.
  • “Water White” but will amber with age.
  • Not designed for self-seal.
  • Limited durability.
  • Interior wood fixtures including molding, door frames, millwork and new construction.
  • Also used for interior furniture and fine wood finishing.

VALCEARTM CAB Acrylic Lacquer Systems
  • Fast drying.
  • Improved moisture resistance.
  • Non-yellowing.

 

  • Not designed for self-seal.
  • Still relatively limited durability.

 

  • Interior wood fixtures including molding, door frames and millwork.
  • Also used for interior furniture and fine wood finishing.
  • Particularly recommended for light finishes where superior clarity and non-yellowing properties are desired.

ENVIRO + PLUS® Waterborne Topcoats

 

 
  • Designed for self-seal.
  • Improved properties.
  • Will meet KCMA specifications.
  • Excellent environmentals.
  • Special equipment requirements.
  • Extra care needed in sanding and recoat.
  • More sensitive to temperature and humidity.
  • Excellent for use as in all general interior wood finishing, including furniture and fine wood.
  • Particularly recommended for light finishes where superior clarity and non-yellowing properties are desired.

 

VALTEC®
Pre-catalyzed Lacquer Systems

 
  • Designed for self-seal. 
  • Excellent film properties.
  • Will meet KCMA specifications.
  • User-friendly when compared with catalyzed systems.
  • Special equipment requirements.
  • Extra care needed in sanding and recoat.
  • Requires extra curing considerations compared to non-catalyzed finishes.
  • Very versatile coating for all general interior and fine wood finishing.
  • Specifically recommended where additional performance properties are desired.

DURAPSEEDTM

  • Outstanding film properties.
  • Will meet KCMA specifications.
  • Designed to offer performance properties approaching conversion varnish technology while offering improved drying and handling characteristics.
  • Special equipment requirements.
  • Extra care needed in sanding and recoat.
  • Requires extra curing considerations compared to non-catalyzed finishes.
  • Requires proper measurement and addition of acid catalyst.
  • Limited time for use (pot-life).

 
  • Excellent coating for all general and fine wood finishing.  Recommended for use in all areas requiring excellent water, staining or abrasion resistance – e.g. kitchen and bath cabinets.
  • Excellent for use in high-speed production environments where the performance properties of a conversion varnish are desired with handling and drying characteristics more similar to those of pre-catalyzed lacquer systems.
